UPSC will organize exam twice in a year for defense aspirants who are enthusiastic to join as Officers’ in the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and Officers Training Academies.
SSB is an organization that is set-up by the Ministry of Defense, India. The SSB schedule, organize and conduct the SSB Interview of the aspirants who are applying for Indian Military Forces. Over SSB interviews Screening of the candidates is done for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. It is a five days long procedure that categorized into two stages.

ELIGIBILITY
Candidate must be between 20 years and 25 years of age. There is an age relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and age relaxation of up to 3 years for OBC candidates.
Candidate must be a graduate from any Government University or Deemed to be University. Both male and female candidate can apply.
Candidate should be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.

SSB CONSTABLE SYLLABUS 2021:
Written Exam – It is the first stage in recruitment process. Exam duration will be of 2 hours.This is subcategorized, which is given below.
- Paper 1 covers General ability and intelligence test; this whole paper consists of objective type questions (MCQs).
- Paper 2 covers General Studies, Essay writing and comprehension. Consequently, you will be given 1 topic to write Essay at a particular time.
CDS 1 & CDS 2 2021 SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Candidates will be selected by assessing them in four stages they are as follows:
- Written Test
- SSB Interview
- Medical Examination
- Merit List
SSB INTERVIEW 2021 PROCEDURE:
The SSB Interview Procedure includes two-stage selection process: Stage I & Stage II. The Candidates who successfully qualifies Stage I will be allowed to appear for Stage II.
STAGE 1: This stage involves Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP & DT). Stage 1 includes screening test. The applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of combined performance in the OIR Test and Picture Perception & Description Test.
STAGE 2: This stage will be conducted for 4 days. Stage II covers Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer Tasks (GTO Tasks), Interview &finally Conference.
SSB INTERVIEW 2021- STAGE 1: Candidates are gauzed over physically, mentally, and psychologically as well.
SCREENING: From this process eligible candidates are selected from all those who have reported for the particular entry. It consists of few activities like:
Verbal and Non-verbal Test: It is a written test that includes MCQs. The time allotted to answer each question will be 30 seconds. Upon this test candidate will proceed for PPDT.
PPDT: This test involves story writing and discussion. A picture will be shown to the candidates for 30 seconds and candidates have to write a story based on the picture in 3 minutes.
CDS SSB INTERVIEW 2021- STAGE 2:
CDS SSB Interview 2021 for Stage 2 Selection is a 4 day process that includes Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference.
DAY 1: PSYCHOLOGICAL TEST
Psychological Test involves a series of examinations for emotional and behavioral reactions of the candidates. This includes TAT (Thematic Appreciation Test), WAT (Word Association Test), and SRT (Situation Reaction Test). SD (Self- Description)
DAY 2 & 3: GROUP TASK
The most important leg of CDS SSB Interview is Group Tasks in which candidates have to prove their physical as well as mental skills. Also, Officer Like Qualities is judged on the basis of these tasks. The tasks allotted to candidates include Group Discussion, Military Planning Exercise, Progressive Group Task, Group Obstacle Race, Half Group Task, Individual Obstacles, Lecture, Command Task, and Final Group Task.
DAY 3: PERSONAL INTERVIEW
On the 3rdday of CDS SSB Interview, candidates appear for a personal interview session in front of the senior officers. These officers evaluatecandidates on the basis of the answers you give and keep both verbal abilities and thought exercises (in the psychological test) into the loop.
DAY 4: CONFERENCE
This is the final stage of the CDS SSB Interview, in which candidates appear in front of the Board Committee. This committee consists of members from the President of the board, Deputy President, Group Testing Officers, Psychologists. However, those who seek admission to Air Force Academy have to appear for Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT). The questions asked in the Interview are general, informal, and based on everyday activities.
