16,000 Police to be recruit, Says Home Minister

Karnataka State Home Minister Basavaraja Bommai said 16,000 police posts will be filled in the next three years, speaking to the reporters he added that steps to be taken shortly to fill 6,000 recruitments this year

All Employees should get COVID 19 vaccine, Says Health Minister

Karnataka State Minister of Health and Medical Education Dr K Sudhakar said the prevent the impact of likely Second wave of COVID 19 in the state all the employees of all departments should get vaccinated,

Speaking to the reporters he said officers and other staff members of all the departments should get the COVID 19 vaccine. The Chief Minister will also discuss the issue in the video,

He added severity of the infection decreases after the vaccine is taken, The public still has to comply with COVID 19 safety measures. Ceremonies and meetings, such as weddings, are on the rise. It has to be reduced.

Indradhanush Vaccine Campaign 3.0 to be launched in 13 Districts

Karnataka State Minister of Health and Medical Education Dr K Sudhakar said Indradhanush Vaccine Campaign 3.0 will be conducted in 13 districts of Karnataka State from 22nd February 2021 to 22nd March 2021,

He said the vaccine would be given to children under the age of 2 and pregnant women in 13 districts, it gives prevention against 7 diseases,

In Indradhanush 3.0 campaign the vaccination will cover the vaccine will be given in Bangalore, BBMP range, Bellary, Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bidar, Chikkaballapur, Davanagere, Gadag, Kalaburgi, Koppal, Raichur and Vijayapura districts.

Last date extended to apply for post matric Scholarship by Social Welfare Department

Social Welfare Department, Karnataka has extended the last date to apply for Post Matric Scholarship for the year 2020 – 21 in software till 15th March 2021,

2500 Smart class rooms to be set up for Digital Learning in Karnataka

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr CN Ashwatha Narayana said in the next 2 months part of promoting digital learning 2,500 classrooms of higher education in Karnataka will be converted into smart classrooms,

He added the smart classrooms will be featured with high-speed internet, providing students with the state of the art tabs and adaptation of integrated learning management system (LMS),

And the State Government in the next 6 months has also aimed to convert another 5,500 classrooms to smart classes.

Department of Education, Karnataka has released orders that the regular classes for students of 8th std along with Vidyagama classes for the students of class 6 to 7 are starting from 22nd February 2021,

High Speed Internet facility to all colleges, says Higher Education Minister

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister Dr. C N Ashwatha Narayana said In a bid to promote digital learning in the post COVID 19 era in the next 2 months 2,500 classrooms of state’s higher education institutions will be converted into smart classrooms

And other 5,500 more institutions to be added to the list in next 6 months, smart classroom system can be perfected by implementing high speed internet, high quality tab and integrated learning system (LMS),

He added the comprehensive learning system implemented in higher education institutions is a revolution and first of its kind in the country.

PU college Lecturers, Principals to be recruited shortly, says Higher Education Minister

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister Dr. C N Ashwatha Narayana said after the Pre Budget Meeting a proposal been proposed for filling the vacant PU College Lecturers and Principals posts in the state Government Pre University Colleges.

He added that the Chief Minister B S Yeddyyurappa has responded positively in this regard and announcement regarding it will be made shortly.

10,000 teachers to be recruited shortly, says Education Minister

Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar after attending the State Budget Preliminary meeting announced that a proposal has been made in state Budget 2021 to establish special education zones in educationally backward Kalyana Karnataka districts of Karnataka and appoint 10,000 teachers in that zones to upgrade the education sector.

He added a proposal to create a literacy program under the Special Development Scheme to educate 30,000 illiterate persons has been proposed through the state literacy campaign and said that there is also a proposal to upgrade children’s libraries and digitalize.,

He said the Chief Minister B S Yeddyyurappa has given positive reply and more importance in this year budget will be given to Education sector.

Karnataka Minister of Home Affairs Basavaraja Bommai informed the press conference after the cabinet meeting that the Karnataka State Budget 2021 will be presented on 8th March 2021,

Academic year 2021 – 22 to start from 15th July 2021  

Due to ongoing COVID 19 pandemic the classes for the year 2020 – 21 had a delayed start, so the academic year 2021 – 22 will be delayed by 45 days,

The Department of Education, Karnataka has decided to commence academic year 2021 – 22 from 15th July 2021,

According to department officials, the assessment process for the current academic year will be completed by the third week of June, with the 10th and 12th class Board exams are scheduled to be held in May / June 2021,

The results of 10th and 12th Exams to be announced by end of June and Teachers will be given few days gap between start of next academic session.

E-Chhawani portal and mobile app launched  

Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh launched E-Chhawani portal and mobile app to provide online civic services to over 20 lakh residents of 62 Cantonment Boards across the country,

Through it the residents of cantonment areas will be able to avail basic services like renewal of leases, application for birth & death certificates, water & sewerage connections, trade licences, mobile toilet locators and payment of different types of taxes and fees

RBI issued Rs 20 Coin for circulation 

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued Rs 20 coin for circulation, the Rs 20 Coins from the RBI are already being sent to the banks through regional offices for public use.

A new 20 rupee coin was due to be released in April, but, due to a lockdown, their release was temporarily blocked, these coins have come into circulation in most parts of the country, including Karnataka, to help with the retail situation.

Mandatory to link Aadhar with Bank Accounts within 31st March 2021

According to a new order issued by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, it is mandatory to link Aadhaar number with bank accounts within 31st March 2021,

If the account holders do not link their bank accounts with Aadhaar, they may not be able to make some type of transactions,

SBI has given its customers a variety of options like through Net Banking, SBI app, SMS, ATM, Visit nearest Bank to link Aadhaar card with their account numbers.

8000 Lecturers to be recruited shortly, Says DCM

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister Dr C N. Ashwaththa Narayana said that vacant 8000 lecturers posts to be filled shortly,

He added that the request been made to Chief Minister B S Yeddyyurappa to allocate more funds to fill the posts and the Chief Minister has given positive response regarding it,

He also said already he has spoken with Finance department regarding recruitment of 1200 Associate Professors and 300 Principals, shortly a green signal is expected from the Finance department.
