Ayushman Bharat is the largest health assurance scheme in the world which aims at providing a health cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family 

The central government has introduced different measures in the health system to help all the patient receive quality and hygienic health care.It allow patients to receive treatment freely.

The implementation of health schemes has brought relief to many Indian citizens, especially to the citizens of Karnataka.

The scheme Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya or the National Health Protection Scheme is a program sponsored by government to facilitate health care to all the citizens.

It was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help needy patients in receiving quality health.

The scheme is also under taken by the Ashushman Bharat mission of the Ministry of health and family welfare.

Benefits of Ayushman Bharath

Financial assistance up to INR 5 lakh per annum will be provided for specified simple secondary care, complex secondary health care treatment, tertiary healthcare and emergency health care to the families that comes under the “Eligibility Families”.

People can visit the government hospital and allowed to take proper treatment They can also refer to the private hospital with the same health card by providing the referral letter by the doctor.

Eligibility Criteria

Any family that has an active RSBY card as of 28 February 2018 is covered. There is no capping on family Size and age of members, which will ensure that All family members specifically girl child and senior citizens will be covered.

Over 10.74 crore poor and vulnerable families are covered across the country.

NOTE: The card provides free treatment for the families of BPL(Below Poverty Line),and it provides only 30% benefit for the APL(Above Poverty Line) families.

To find out your eligibility, you can call up on the helpline number, 14555. You can also check it online on the NHA’s portal.

A website and a help line number has been launched to help prospective Beneficiaries check if their name is there in the final list of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

Networking Hospitals of Arogya Karnataka Scheme

Arogya Karnataka Scheme is integrated into all government hospitals, patients Can visit and receive treatment freely.

However , not all private hospitals are Using the health card unless a notified network is implemented. Doctors from a Public hospitals can refer to the private hospitals by writing a letter.

How to Apply for Arogya Karnataka Health Card

Step 1 : Visit the empanelled hospitals and look for Ayushman Mitras who will assist you in

Step 2 : They will confirm whether you are eligible under the PM-JAY

The health card is digitally generated to achieve all the applicants E-KYC details. The process requires one to provide their AADHAR CARD NUMBER.

The patients e-biometric imprint is made through digital biometric device then validated with the IDR Aadhar server, the information will generate automatically.

The system will also provide an OTP number for cases with wrong biometric information or not recognized. The data can be retrieved from using a QR code or frim the food department databases.

How to get the Arogya card
