Recruitment notification for NCC Special Entry Scheme 49th course (April 2021) for Short Service Commission (NT) has been released by the Indian Army, Applications are invited from unmarried male and unmarried female (including Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel), for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army

For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders

QUALIFICATION

Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years. Those studying in final year are also allowed to apply provided they have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in 1st, 2nd year

SERVICE IN NCC

Should have served for minimum three academic years (wef 22 Feb 2013 to onwards till date)/two years (23 May 2008 till 21 Feb 2013) in the senior Division/Wing of NCC, Should have obtained minimum of ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC. Applicants, who are not holding NCC ‘C’ Certificate on date of application, are not eligible to apply for the course. 

For Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel

QUALIFICATION 

Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years, NCC ‘C’ certificate NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties

VACANCIES 

NCC MEN :  50 (45 for General Category and 05 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel only).

NCC Women :  05 (04 for General Category and 01 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel only

TENURE OF ENGAGEMENT 

Short Service Commission will be granted to Male and Female in the regular Army for 14 years i.e. for an initial period of 10 years extendable by a further period of 04 years.

Male & Female officers who are willing to continue to serve in the Army after the expiry of period of ten years of Short Service Commission may, if eligible and suitable in all respects, be considered for the grant of Permanent Commission (PC) in the 10th year of their Short Service Commission in accordance with the relevant policies as issued from time to time

PROBATIONARY PERIOD 

An officer will be on probation for a period of 6 months from the date he/she receives his/her commission

TRAINING 

Duration of training is 49 weeks at OTA, Chennai., Selected candidates will be detailed for Pre-Commission training at OTA, Chennai according to their position in the final order of merit, up to the number of available vacancies, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.

Candidates will neither be allowed to marry during the period of training nor will he/she be allowed to live with parents/Guardians. Candidates must not marry until they complete the full training at the Officers Training Academy.

TRAINING COST 

The entire cost of training at OTA is at Government expense. In case the cadet is withdrawn from training academy due to reasons other than medical ground or the reasons not beyond his/her control, he/she will be liable to refund cost of training at Rs 11,952/- per week till Sep 2020, thereafter a yearly escalation of 8% p.a. will be calculated on the Per Capita Cost of Training for each ensuing year

Stipend of Rs 56,100 Per Month to Gentlemen or Lady Cadets during the entire duration of training in Service academies i.e. during training period at OTA

PROCEDURE TO APPLY

Step 1 : Visit website CLICK HERE

Step 2 : Click on ‘Officer Entry Appln/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ 

Step 3 : Fill the online registration form after reading the instructions carefully.

Step 4 : After getting registered, click on ‘Apply Online’ under Dashboard.

Step 5 : A page ‘Officers Selection – ‘Eligibility’ will open.

Step 6 : Then click ‘Apply’ shown against Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course.

Step 7 : A page ‘Application Form’ will open.

Step 8 : Read the instructions carefully and click ‘Continue’ to fill details as required 

Step 9 : After filling details on the last segment, you will move to a page ‘Summary of your information’ wherein you can check and edit the entries already made.

Step 10 : Only after ascertaining the correctness of all your details, click on ‘Submit Now’.

Step 11 : Candidates must click on ‘Submit Now’ each time they open the application for editing any details.

Step 12 : The candidates are required to take out two copies of their application having Roll Number

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The Shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad(UP), Bhopal(MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (PB). Call up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centre on candidates’ registered e-mail id and SMS only

Candidates will be put through two stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will be returned on the same day

MEDICAL EXAM

Candidates who get recommended after Stage II shall be called for Medical Exam

MERIT LIST 

Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate at SSB interview
